Tiny Town welcomes families from near and far

Tiny Town has been an important part of the greater Enoggera community for over 45 years and values the support the local community provides us. This includes local police, ambulance and fire brigade personnel who visit our Centre each year to talk to the children about their jobs and how to stay safe in the big world. Staff from our local library visit throughout the year to deliver special story time and literacy activities for the children.

Conveniently located in the inner north west of Brisbane there are several suburbs within 3 kms from our Centre including:

  • Everton Park
  • Alderley
  • Stafford
  • Gaythorne
  • Grange
  • Newmarket
  • As well as others nearby: Mitchelton, The Gap, Ashgrove, and Keperra.

An outreach of the Emmanuel Uniting Church, Enoggera, our building is in fact part of the church’s complex.

Our local church has strong relationships with the local community, opening its door for the local Sudanese community to use the building for their own worship services.

Emmanuel also operates an affiliated Playgroup every Friday morning during school terms, with the children coming down to Tiny Town during the session to play in the sandpit.  Many families who attend Tiny Town bring their younger children to Playgroup. This can be a good introduction to families wanting to enrol their children at Tiny Town.

We welcome families from across the whole northside of Brisbane as Emmanuel in turn welcomes families from our child care centre and Kindergarten.

A number of our children come from Australian Defence Force families who are based at the Enoggera Army Barracks. This adds another dimension to our community as we nurture children who may have parents overseas on military duty.

We also stay in touch with local primary schools, helping to smooth the transition for children going from Kindy to Prep, so ‘Big School’ is something our children look forward to.

Local schools our children typically enrol in include:
